The beginning of a journey
In December 2001, Oxilar was born from a dream of supplying the shortage that the Brazilian market faced in the medical sector of medicinal gases and equipment for the treatment of sleep disorders. The first analyzes pointed to the home care market, which was the area that Oxilar initially specialized in and definitively enabled the company's entry into the hospital medical segment.

Market expansion
In September 2004, Oxilar, moved by a new challenge, also became a distributor of medicinal gases and began to serve large hospitals and clinics in the southern region of Brazil, as well as industries that needed industrial gases in their manufacturing and maintenance processes.

Business segmentation
With the great visibility that Oxilar started to have in the area of distribution of medical gases, in 2009 it was necessary to segment the branches of the company's operations. Thus, the company was divided into two areas: The first acts directly with the distribution of medicinal gases; and the second works by providing home care and distributing sleep disorder treatment equipment.

A New challenge
It was with confidence and partnership over the years that in 2019 Oxilar decided to get even closer to its international suppliers. Thus was created the third company of the group: Oxilar North America, based in Orlando - Florida.
